Pedal, Paddle, Pace (PPP) is a unique form of triathlon and an event for everyone to enjoy.

The Course

  • Pedal 20km through Hampshire Country Lanes (average time 1 hr)
  • Pace 5km along the newly-restored Hockley Viaduct (average time 30 mins)
  • Paddle 2km up the Itchen Navigation Canal, kayaks provided (average time 20 mins)

  • Equipment

  • Bikes suitable for road use and bike helmets to be supplied by competitors. Strictly no admission to cycling without a suitable helmet
  • Paddling equipment including bouyancy aids and paddles to be supplied by Organisers
  • Controlled and secure bike facilities
  • Kayaks, Buoyancy aids (BA’s) and paddles provided by organisers. Please do not bring your own kayak.
  • Points to Note

  • All competitors must respect both the highway and country codes, and act in accordance with signs and marshals
  • In the event of any traffic and or road restrictions rights are reserved to alter the course of the route without notice. The organisers cannot therefore be held responsible if the distance is not exact
  • All participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres and be in reasonable health
  • Cycle helmets must be worn during the cycle event
  • Minimum age 16

    Parking

  • Parking at the St Catherine’s Hill Park and Ride, near Junction 10 on the M3

    It is easiest to go in via the Garnier road entrance. If you don’t use this entrance then once you’re in the car park keep going until you reach a roundabout – watch out for our signs which will direct you. There will be a large sign on the roundabout.
